| Back in the day before they built over the
clay pits in Sayreville, people would come from far to ride out in the phatest pits in
Jersey. I was about 9 yrs old and can remember waken up in the
morning to the roaring sounds of mad 2 stroke bikes tearin ass in the
pits. I'd follow them around and keep an eye out for the cops and
during these times I developed my infatuation with the off-road world.
Of course like any other 9 yr old boy I went running home to mom and dad
trying to explain how I would run away from home if they didn't buy me
this bike (it didn't work). I used to go up the street to the Honda
dealer and sit on the cr 50 and xr 80 just day dreamin about how I could
be tearing it up.
After about 11 years I finally gave up on getting one.
I still took a look every now and then but never was really ready.
To make a long Story Short I took a ride one day with Dusty (AKA Dirttdogg)
to the Kawasaki dealer to check out the Mojave. The price was great,
the bike looked hot, but I figured it to be underpowered and so I didn't
jump on it. We finally got it back to the crib and about a 12 pack
later I was watching him pop phat wheelies in the back yard. The
next day my bike was on the delivery truck and we road out in the nastiest
rain storm ever for mad long.
Shout outs to the rest of the Dirttdoggs™ crew:
Big Bo, Mick Dog, Dirtt, Deballz, Rabbit,
Mario, Greg, Vindish and all the Dirttdoggs back at The Moon™ and AcaPoco™
